LC37D62U 37" LCD TV

I Thought Sharp Products Were So Good Until I bought...

Strengths: It's pretty and has a nice picture.

Weakness: Sound won't lock onto some digital channels.

I bought a new LC37D62U. It's a nice looking TV, but mine won't lock onto the audio of two local digital channels. The sound cuts in and out continuously. Sharp customer service was unable to diagnose the problem, so they dispatched a local authorized repair shop. The repair shop says the problem is a known glitch in the Sharp firmware and cannot be resolved until sharp updates their firmware....

Sharp LC37D62U AQUOS 37” High Definition 1080P LCD...

Strengths: Great picture, especially with HDTV signal.

Weakness: Picture is as good as the quality of the signal. Programs broadcast in standard definition don't always look that great on this TV. So, the weakness is that networks need to increase their offerings!

A great HDTV

Strengths: Picture clarity, dual HDMI input, separate volume settings for each input

Weakness: High volume difference between digital and analog channels (see below)

I was in the market for my first HDTV and eventually settled on an LCD. I did a bit of research and found that Sharp was one of the leaders in LCD TVs, so I got interested in this one. its ok

Strengths: great hd picture

Weakness: sound, i hear popping once and awhile from the set,i think its from the heat the set throws off,the plastic must be making the noise.. scrolls at the bottom of the picture look distorted

all in all the tv is ok, but i expected alot more from sharp, the SD pictures look fuzzy and blurred at times..i would recommend the Toshiba 1080p over the Sharp

Strengths: Easy setup. Great picture quality. Plenty of inputs.

Weakness: Weaknesses: It runs rather warm. When used, headset jack doesn’t cut off the speakers, so what’s the use? No PIP. However,you may be able to get PIP through an HD DVR from your cable provider.

This LC37D62U TV is well worth the money. Analog programs, as you would suspect, have the least picture quality, but it’s o.k. Digital programming is much better. But HD is just plain jaw dropping gorgeous! All HD content is stunning regardless if its sports, news, or the Tonight Show. Football games, holy cow, it’s like being in the stadium—beautiful. Sharp AQUOS 37 inch HD 1920 x 1080 resolution LCD TV

Strengths: Phenomenal picture, sometimes looking three dimensional. The speakers are mounted on the bottom so the tv is less than 37 inches across and allows it to fit in limited areas.

Weakness: Sound may not be loud enough in noisy rooms. Default picture setting not appropriate for normal use; backlight must be lowered. I set all picture setting back to normal.

I waited 8 months to buy an LCD television because I was not fully satisfied with the specifications of any models on the market. I purchased the 37d62U because it had 1920x1080 high resolution, a 6ms response time that made action scenes crisp, and extremely high contrast with deep black colors. I RESEARCHED THIS TV AND SHARP'S REVIEWS WERE ALWAYS HIGH ON THIS TV. I LIKE THE 37" SCREEN BECAUSE IT FITS ON OUR BOOKSHELF PERFECTLY. IT HAS A BLACK EDGE AROUND THE SCREEN AND REALLY LOOKS CLEAN AND STYLISH. THE BASE IS SLEEK AND PERFECT. I WOULD/HAVE RECOMMENDED MY TV TO OTHERS. IT IS A QUALITY PRODUCT AND GOOD PRICE.
