Works well enough, but quality concerns and unresponsive support
Strengths: Less expensive (with rebate) than other 1000VA units
Weakness: Absent vendor support, battery quality concern
Went for this due to a rebate that made it < $70. I'd been through 5-6 500-650VA UPSs over 5 years, powering two small Windows servers (about 100W each when idle). This unit handles both servers and a shared LCD monitor with ease. The one glitch, the software reports the battery charge at 93%, it's never gone higher. Strengths: Very reliable, outstanding voltage regulation
I live in the country where we have frequent voltage dips. This was causing my projection TV picture to shrink. I had already replaced one power supply in the TV due to this.
Since I started using the TV on the AVR UPS, I have not had anymore problems with the picture shrinking. Now I am buying one to put at my computer desk.

Strengths: None as I never had one to work!
Weakness: Poor tech support... poor and misleading documentation... product intruction incomplete (does not match experience)
Received this unit intact yesterday. Plugged in and setup unit to run. Shut down with no warning. Called tech support and they told me I had to charge for 6 hours which is not mentioned in the manual. Tried charging and it won't hold a charge. I should have known better after I received first unit delivered all smashed. This one won't hold a charge. There tech support was not helpful as they did...

I used 7 on one project and am now logged on to buy 2 - 3 more. I have had great success with them and will continue using them.

Solid Product
Strengths: Long-lasting battery, nice windows software for those who like that.
Weakness: None that I can see.
I just wanted to add that I work in a TV production environment, and we have a number of stand-alone edit rooms in various places where we don't have house UPS power available.
Over the last several years I've bought about twenty of the Ultra UPS units and they have proven a solid, dependable product.
